During my time in Spain and Belgium, I have clearly noticed two flaws with my research. The first one is that I have a lack of access to information about Saudi Arabia and Iran. To solve my first flaw, I have started to think about creative ways I can gather my information. My last blog, I said that I will try to trace Saudi-Iran relation information through the speeches of leaders from US or other leading nations. In addition to that I have come up with a new idea to obtain information. Recently, the new crown prince of Saudi incident gave me the idea to look into conversation between Saudi King/ Iran and leading countries on a diplomatic visit. The second flaw with my research is that I am focusing on too many events. Some of them might not even help me. I really need to sit down and think about what event beside Iranian Revolution would help my research.
In this blog the AU Global Scholars document their efforts in applying rigorous research methods to their projects in the field of international studies. The aim is to briefly present a challenge that they encountered AND the solution they came up with, such that their peers can respond and/or learn.
