Hello Global Scholars,
Welcome to the 306 group therapy blog. It will work best if your posts are brief and to the point but also constructive and thoughtful in their approach. Both written and video blogs are acceptable. Submit comments on your classmates' posts (e.g. additional advice) for extra participation points. You should have posted a total of one post before June 5, two posts before June 23, and an additional third post is optional before July 25, if you would like to improve your average grade.
Best,
LS

  1. Hi everyone! This is Samhita. Blogspot will only allow me to comment on others' posts and not publish my own which is why this blog post shows up as a comment!

So if you guys remember, the research question I am trying to answer is: How do manifestations of nationalism in post-genocidal Rwanda affect the emergence of female politicians in the country? My IV is Rwandan nationalism and my DV is female political participation in Rwanda. I will be doing positivist discourse analysis. The reason I mention this is because the source of my troubles right now is not being secure with the measures of my IV. The current measures of my IV are the words that I am coding in my discourse analysis, but I am having trouble finding words that have been used in multiple documents. Do y'all have any suggestions for general words or phrases that indicate nationalism and might be used in multiple documents?
